Ceramic flooring tiles come in many different sizes. Most of them are twelve to eighteen inches. Small one-inch mosaic tiles that come in sheets are also popular. Mosaic tiles are able to cover an entire floor and add visual interest when combined with larger tiles. For less spacious rooms, it is best to stick to smaller ceramic flooring tiles such as the ones in twelve-inch squares. Bigger tiles may suppress the décor in your space. Consider using bigger tiles for larger rooms. The bigger the room, the less busy the room looks. Place your flooring tiles diagonally instead of in a grid. It adds visual interest to a room. Purchase more tiles than you require because you may break or damage some tiles during the installation process. Furthermore, you will have to cut the tiles at corners and the additional tiles will cover that.
